Day 14

The plane took off about 20 minutes late and we went immediately into turbulence

Because of that, they couldn’t get on with serving the food so when they got the green light they were like greyhounds out of the traps throwing rolls and drinks everywhere

Here’s the menu

I went for the chicken

I watched Deadpool to see if I could make sense of the Wolverine crossover madness then tried to get some sleep

I reckon I did better than the flight over but not by much

I did, however, still have the fun of watching Joss push all the seat buttons accidentally so not all was lost

At 9am I decided I’d tried long enough so made the seat sit up, at least I tried to

It only contracted half way, leaving me trapped in the chair

After much huffing and puffing I managed, contortionist like to crawl out of the chair to ask for help

Apparently it’s a common problem as it happened to Joss too - we think it’s because it’s an older plane

There was still time for breakfast

We landed bang on time and apart from security swabbing both me and my bag down for drugs we were swiftly through all the checks and sat in the lounge for about at hour before we could board the plane to Heathrow

We actually went down a little earlier and I saw the cleaner whizzing around on this - he then disappeared and I desperately wanted a go

I was even more gutted as when he got back he just pressed a button and off he went - it didn’t even have keys !!

We took off about 25 minutes late as they had issues with the luggage

They then put a curtain between us in business and the rest and I thought it was to prevent jealousy from the other passengers re our food but I now believe it was to stop them laughing at what we got…

Here’s what we were promised for our in flight meal and this is what it looked like

The main course was awful - served ice cold ON PURPOSE and with horseradish on everything making it inedible

I really don’t know who they are catering for with these meals

Still, we arrived safely, and being UK residents we sailed through passport control (when Joss worked out how to use the electronic passport checker) and it was only a short walk to the car

Thankfully it was still there and started first time so 90 minutes later we were back home - great holiday but it certainly feels lovely to be back
