Day 14

The plane took off about 20 minutes late and we went immediately into turbulence   Because of that, they couldn’t get on with serving the food so when they got the green light they were like greyhounds out of the traps throwing rolls and drinks everywhere  Here’s the menu I went for the chicken I watched Deadpool to see if I could make sense of the Wolverine crossover madness then tried to get some sleep I reckon I did better than the flight over but not by much I did, however, still have the fun of watching Joss push all the seat buttons accidentally so not all was lost  At 9am I decided I’d tried long enough so made the seat sit up, at least I tried to It only contracted half way, leaving me trapped in the chair After much huffing and puffing I managed, contortionist like to crawl out of the chair to ask for help Apparently it’s a common problem as it happened to Joss too - we think it’s because it’s an older plane There was still time for breakfast We landed ban...

Day 13

I woke up thinking maybe it wasn’t my best idea to constantly put my glass up for refills last night….. But at least the builders held off so we had a decent lie in before breakfast which I struggled to eat as I was still full up Then we went back to the room to organise all our bags to ensure that if we lost anything, it wouldn’t be the souvenirs  We had a tiny bit of shopping to do and then we thought we’d have lunch Unfortunately today was the hottest day of the holiday so once the shopping was done, we decided to retreat to the room for a while to stop us feeling like we were melting When we did indeed go for lunch we went back to the place that did the amazing pork baguette It was still amazing but on Joss’ showing, Argentina has beaten her too as she barely touched anything bar the chips We then did a quick search for Patagonia Amber beer so we could have one last drink of our favourite South American tipple before it was back to the room for final showers and bag packing The...

Day 12

Nothing planned for the morning today so we had as nice a lie in as we could manage before the construction work started As I lay there I could hear a tapping sound What the bloody hell was that?  It went on and on so eventually I got up and found the the air conditioner was dripping water - luckily narrowly missing our souvenirs  When I reported it at reception on the way to breakfast they sent someone who fixed it immediately and then the hotel left some biscuits for us to make up for the inconvenience  It was no bottle of wine but a lovely gesture Also, yesterday when Joss asked for an omelette for breakfast with fried potatoes she was told there was no potato  So today, even though she didn’t ask for potatoes they gave it to her anyway to make up for yesterday  Nice Then we went out as it is market day in Buenos Aires We went to 2 separate markets and there was quite the array of goods on sale We then got a bit tired as it was nearly 28 degrees so we stopped...
